The Victims and the Victor

A man is found guilty of raping his daughter and convicted for life, and now apparently the daughter is claiming that all the charges are baseless and her father is innocent and he is being framed by his wife. The story is hereand the original conviction story is here

Firstly, what were the press thinking when they were covering the trial of the case? The accused has always been maintaining that he is being framed by his wife. Yet these views were *not* presented to the public by the press.
Instead, the prosecution allegations were potrayed as to be true, and further reports of increasing crime against women, children were put forward (I am not disputing the reports, but the context)

The Himachal Pradesh HC was (in words of the honourable SC) "swayed by sheer insensitivity" and hurled a bunch of other expletives in legal parlance.

If the person in question is indeed innocent then the SC and TOI have made a grave mistake. The man in question and the Himachal HC are the victims.

There have been lot of cries against media.. Media and blog should go hand in hand and not against each other.. Agreed, that blogs is a medium for peoples' emotions but media is also the same..

BTW Sumanth, its not that if one person writes about something, he is the only person concerned.. It might be the thing that others don't know about the news or haven't thought much about it.

There had been few posts about how media misinterprets the news on blogs of Ritesh and Rashmi
